The increases which will operate from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2015 are:

  • wages under all modern awards are increased by 3%; and
  • the minimum wage will increase from $622.20 per week (or $16.37 per hour) to $640.90 (or $16.87 per hour).

Employees paid in line with (or wages close to) the minimum rates of pay under an Award will therefore be entitled to a higher rate of pay as of July 2014.
