The increases which will operate from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2016 are:
wages under all modern awards are increased by 2.4%; and
the minimum wage will increase to $672.70 per week (or $17.70 per hour).
Employees paid in line with (or wages close to) the minimum rates of pay under an Award will therefore be entitled to a higher rate of pay as of July 2016.
